My name is Ashley and I love food. Love is a strong word, but honestly I have a real passion for all things food including; cooking, baking, going to different restaurants, hole's in the walls, making ice cream, trying everything....that has been with me since I can remember. I recall being very young and trying to figure out how to make mayonnaise from scratch, from which I remember was a total mess. I also used to bake cakes when I was a kid, all by myself of course. I have just always had this strong curiosity about food.
During the past five years or so, my curiosity has evolved into health and eating and curing ailments through organic/real food. I've been getting back to the basics of cooking meaning making real food and not shopping at the local Publix or Dominick's as I read 90% plus of those stores are just garbage anyways. I try to buy the best ingredients that I can locally and cook with it. I try not to buy food that comes in boxes and try to do my best to support local farmers and the organic movement. I'm also into working out and I'm not talking about treadmill's, zumba or any other shit that doesn't work, I'm talking about a real workout with weights, squats, sprints, pull ups, push ups and I have never looked as good as I do now, nor feel as good. I post recipe's on my boxes website that follow the same guidelines that I have laid out above, real food with real ingredients which I will start slowly posting on here.
This blog is to enlighten anyone who stumbles across it as well as maybe start a little controversial discussion. I'll be posting my opinion on food articles I might stumble across as well as recipes to follow.
